9/21/19 Hockeypalooza - Sparrows Point High School:
It was a great weekend for our program at Hockeypalooza.
Congrats to Coach Crissy McCormick’s team as they won the 5/6 division at Hockeypalooza.
The amazing thing about this game is that they played one of the
other Freedom teams coached by Brian Spurgeon team and won 1-0 in
overtime.
We had two 7/8 teams make it to the semi-finals (Coach Ryan Pond and
Coach Jackie Welch), both of which lost 1-0 in two hard fought games.
For our ¾ division, we had Coach Kristen Morinelli’s team advance to the semi-finals.
They lost a heartbreaker to NC Storm 2-1, who eventually went on to win the championship.
All of our teams played hard and appeared to compete at a high level.
We all showed that Freedom Field Hockey is one of the top
programs in the league and that is a testament to the hard work put in
by our coaches, parents and players.
